Once again, Helen Fitzgerald’s Irish Grill & Pub is teaming up with the oncology nurses from Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to present what has become, one of the world’s largest fundraisers for childhood cancer research. Our event has raised over $1.6 million dollars to date and we are excited to be approaching this year’s celebration. We have hosted this event over the past eight years and would like to personally invite you to partner with us in this fight against childhood cancer. You or your business can help to make a significant difference in the lives of these brave children living daily in the hope of a cure.
The St. Baldrick’s Celebration, was dreamt up by a group of business executives in New York City eight years ago. They decided to give their St. Patrick’s Day celebration a little twist and help young children diagnosed with cancer. Because the treatment typically given these youngsters causes their hair to fall out, the group recruited volunteers to have their heads shaved in public in return for pledges of financial support. Last year we had over 400 people shave their heads. But, you don’t have to shave your head to help! Check out more of the event details below:
