Dear Syberg's Gravois,
My husband, daughter and I visited your restaurant on December 30th, 2010 at arround 7pm for dinner.  I was a little concerned when standing at the designated area to be seated, we were standing at the edge of the bar with a man smoking a cigarette and blowing it right into my daughter's face.  The hostess seated us upstairs and we ordered our drinks and appetizers.  While we were playing Yahtzee, a waiter brought an ashtray to a neighboring table.  My daughter has asthma and can not be exposed to cigarette or cigar smoke.  No other addiction directly affects the people arround the addict - unless an alcoholic drives.... but even a heroin addict can shoot up and feed thier addiction without forcing the people around them to be forced to accept the heroin into their body without their consent.  The waitress informed us that the entire restaurant was "smoking area" on this night.  With common sense finally prevailing, the "No Smoking" law takes effect finally in just a few days, and I guess the entire restaurant being a smoking area tonight was a little bit of defiance.... but my twelve-year-old daughter started having bronchospasm and we had to cut our dinner short and leave without finishing our food.  Sybergs, you might think the smoking ban will affect your income adversely.  My comment to you is this:  WE WILL NEVER COME BACK TO YOUR RESTAURANT.  EVER!!!  You can kiss our money goodbye and I am telling everyone I know about this awful experience at your restaurant.  It is ridiculous that there was not a "non smoking" area at your restaurant tonight and I hold you directly responsible for my daughter's asthma attack.

As long time customers we wanted to let you know that changing your pizza cheese is a huge mistake, not only does it taste bad but the price you charge for pizza is to high for cheaper cheese.We usually order the feed the family special but now doubt we will even return unless you return to your old pizza. This will be about a $600.00 a year loss from us alone so please reconsider

We visit Syberg's on Gravois about 3 times a month.  We have always loved the food and service.  Imagine our surprise when our favorite wings were taken from the menu...you took away smoked wings!  This was our favorite.  We are sadly disappointed and have not been back.  Just wanted to share our disappointment.  As far as the smoking note above, we were in recently and they allowed some friends of the servers to smoke so that has not gone away.

We visited your Gravois location on a week night last week.  We were very disappointed in the seating.  We were in the room next to the bar on one of the two tables in the middle of the room.  My husband and I are not large people and the little skinny waitress must have bumped us at least a dozen times.  The bus boy  accidentally punched me in the back.  At least he apologized, but the waitress never did.  There are definitely too many tables for that small of an area.  We pushed our chairs as close to the table as was possible but continued to get bumped.  I have to admit, we were not disappointed in our food.  It was very good.  We were very surprised when we got our bill and the pitcher of beer was $12.00!  I have never paid that much for a pitcher of beer.  We felt that was outragious for a family restaurant/bar and grill.  We won't be back any time too soon.

My husband I recently ate at your Gravois location.  We had never been to your restaurant before and wanted to try it since it was in the coupon book.  The food was excellent and I really enjoyed it.  I would love the ingredients to you ranch dressing recipe as it was amazing.  There were a few things that disappointed me.  You had a steak specail for 6.95 so my husband and I both got that with side salads and beverages.  My daughter got a kids meal.  You did not hae any bread to make a kids grilled cheese so we ordered something else.  In addition to this, we were charged for extra ranch dressing and ordering Jack Daniels sauce on the steak.  Our bill was $35 and we wanted to use our coupon for $5 off but were told that we couldn't because we ordered a specail item.  We had the coupon on the table when we were ordering and the waitress never attempted to tell us about this.  Once again the food was good though, wishing the Gravois location was a lot bigger!!!

Dear Dorsett location,
My husband and I came in last night with our daughter and was upset with the service we got. The waitress was quick to get us drinks and take our order but after that we hardly saw her. She brought us our bread 15 minutes after saying she would be right back with it but didnt bring us any plates or silverware so we could cut it and put butter on it. When our food was ready she brought it out, my broccoli was cold but other than that the food was great. She still hadn't given us silverware so I finally asked her for it. We feel like we didn't get the normal level of attetion because we ordered 2 appitizers and only one meal so the waitress presumed that the tip would not be that great. We came to this conclusion because she checked on her other tables and made sure they had what they needed. This decision cost her 20% of her tip. I will not be visiting that location again and will tell others of my experience.

Sybergs is next door to our business and we have been going there for many years until recently. They were known for having some of the best chicken strips in town but decided to change the strips to pinkie finger sized deep fried pieces of mostly breading. Today I decided to go back and try chicken Nachos and they were disgusting for $9.06 the chips were drenched in cheap nacho cheese sauce and did not get my special request for salsa and no sour cream which both come with anyway instead I received salsa ranch and sour cream. The prices are too high for the portions served and the ingredients need to be of higher quality for the price..overall disappointment AGAIN to say the least.

Dear Sybergs Chesterfield- My family has been enjoying Sybergs resturants for years, we recently visited the Chesterfield location, while the service and food were very good as all the other locations, we were shocked at receiving a bill and being charged $1.00 for an extra salad dressing and $1.00 for a cup of dressing for the wings...Are you CRAZY ????!!!! I do not know who makes those corporate decisions, but have you ever tried to mix your real estate salad up with the little cup of dressing that is served with it, NO WAY was that 4 ounces of dressing as stated on the bill, someone is either putting your dressing in the wrong size containers or you are just trying to squeeze out every penny you can get from your patrons, what's next charging to use the restroom? I know it is only $1.00, but the point is, the food was not satisfactory being served like that and next time (if there is a next time) I will return the meal and not pay for anything and you can keep your little salad dressing cup....that is really sad to treat a customer like that...you should be embaresssed.

Just finished lunch at your Syberg's Market Street location. Love the outside seating, but today it was a problem. My co-worker and myself arrived at the restaurant about 12:15. We went inside and told them we would like a table for 2 outside, they said that's fine sit wherever you want.  We sat there for at least 15 minutes, before anyone even spoke to us, even though there were at least 4 different waitresses who came outside (only 10 tables. She approached our table and said I don't know who your waitress is has anyone helped you? We said no she said what would you like to drink, and then said do you know what you wan to eat, even though we had only 1 menu. We told her yes she took the order without writing it down. Approximately 15 minutes later, another girl came out and said I am your waitress sorry can I get your drink order. Told her someone else had helped us. Five minutes later the manager, and the 1st waitress came to our table and said some tickets had been lost in the kitchen and gave us a complimentary order of buffalo wings. I had ordered the lunch special with buffalo wings, and a salad. It was nice, but I didn't really want more wings. Approx 10 minues later they brought my salad with ranch dressing, and I had ordered Italian. She brought the Italian dressing out, and then after she left I realized we had never gotten our utensils. Waited and finally the manager came out and was talking to another table of disgruntled customers, I flagged her down and told her I needed utensils. Fifteen minutes later my wings, and my co-workers wrap came out. The wrap was ice cold! He ate it anyways. Long story short, it is ridiculous for 4 waitresses to be handling 10 tables all in the same area. The outside seating is a great idea, but definitely needs some help! It was very disappointing, we enjoy the food, but it will be a while before we consider going back!
